Happy New Year

As 2008 rolls to a close, I have had a lot on my mind about everything that has happened this year. We have had a ton of obstacles to overcome, every time we turned around, something new was there to punch us down.... Our life this year seems like a never ending disaster... And even though, it's one thing after the next, I am thankful that Ben and I, are strong enough to get through it together. Thinking back, I wouldn't change my life, or the situations arisen, because I am a more knowledgeable and humble person because of it. I am thankful for the the supportive people in my life. I am a better person because of them. I am grateful for the love i have been given, and hope that I was able to show others the love I have for them.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2009 is the best year for you all! May Gob Bless you and your family!

fun in the snow...

It has been a while since I have made a good post, for a few reasons.

The first: We moved: out of state: and haven't had Internet until today! YAY! I was trying my best to keep up to date with it, but heading to McDonald's everytime I needed to do something on the Internet was not my idea of fun!

Ady having fun with the octopus play dough!

Second: While trying to return back to Boise on Christmas Eve we were in an awful car accident. We, are all doing alright! Ben had some tiny cuts from the broken glass, and a bruised elbow from hitting the window. I, on the other hand, believe that the plate of cookies I was carrying in my lap, hit me smack in the middle of the forehead... Other than that I was fine. The kids, didn't have a single scratch on them, and were just a little shaken by the fact of "flippin" as Hayden states it.

On a good note, we have enjoyed our stay in wonderful baker city thus far. People tend to be nicer, and we don't have a commute at all, wherever we go! The first few days we were here, we drove around town trying to get familiar with the area, and found some fun and delicious places to eat! My favorite, thus far, PAIZANO'S pizza! My favorite, even over good old guidos in Boise! If you ever come here, you better try it!

Above are my "car wreck cookies." Originally made for Christmas eve... they made it safe and sound through the wreckage, right to our mouths, after we got them out of the wrecked car...2 days later!

Our home, for now, seems to be coming together well! We have unpacked what we think is necessary and left the rest for the basement. Haven't done much decorating, but we will eventually get to it!
Please note, this picture was taken before the wreck of the envoy!

While Ben was at work today, I took advantage of the somewhat nice weather and headed outdoors with the kiddos.... We made it to our front yard, and no further, but it was fun! We shoveled the rest of the drive way in hopes that Ben would be able to get his car out tomorrow morning and not have to walk to work! After that, we attempted to make a small hill, and a snowman. Hayden thoroughly enjoyed it, while Ady would have rather been inside.
Ady would not get close to the snowman... She was quite afraid of it!Hayden sure thought it was cool~!Hayden pulling Ady on the sled...minus the snowHayden getting ready to go down the little hill, i had made for him, on the sled!

Christmas day

As I said earlier in a previous post... I am at my husbands work updating our blog! Short and quick... The kids woke up with the grandparents and we were soon to follow... Hayden and Ady got some cool toys from Santa, and were thrilled to see all the presents. We love seeing how happy our kids are, and are so thankful that our lives are as blessed as they are. We walked away from a horrible crash, with minor scratches, and nothing else. We are so thankful for our life!

Christmas eve in our new home

Even though we crashed we are all doing great! As soon as Ben's mom (grandma "newbie") heard the news, Her and Jack came to our rescue. When they got here, we all went to the ER and got checked out... all good bills of health. We then went home and let the kids open one present each! and watched "how the grinch stole Christmas!
As we headed to Boise on Christmas eve, our day came to a hault... We were literally blown away by the wind, ending up doing a 360 and barrel rolling twice. The tow man and the police officer think the car is totalled, but we have yet to talk to the insurance guy... hopefully that goes good. (will write more later, at husbands work and trying to get done quickly)

Christmas Cookies

Every year I make sugar cookies... I know my kids look forward to it, as well as Ben, and the rest of our family... Hayden ate them as quickly as he could decorate them. and Ady wouldn't have anything to do with putting them in her mouth!

Going MIA... will be back soon

A lot is happening around here, and not a lot of it has to do with the Christmas season... I feel like scrooge this year. No Christmas tree, nothing festive in sight... all because we are moving. (it's for a good cause, really!) Our poor kids...

We have been trying to go out of our way for them, though. We have been Christmas light searching for a few nights, and have found some well done houses in our neighbor hood. Hayden and Ady both loving screaming out "Christmas Light" (or in Ady's Language "tis tis ights" ) So cute.

Tonight, we went to my Mom's ward Christmas party. Hayden sure enjoyed himself with all of the delicious treats they had laying about. Ady was kinda grumpy... and wanted nothing to do with Santa Claus. Overall, we had a good time!

Ady was ok, at first, but then her real side came out...

Hayden happy about his "gift" from santa... He later explained to me that he got "sugar" from santa!

Early Christmas

Early Christmas...

This past Sunday we had Grandma Newbie, Jack, Levi, and Sandy over and did some celebrating... They had brought presents for early opening as our moving to Baker City is going to make things quite hectic, and we didn't have the room to "hide" Hayden's present anymore...

Hayden with his present from Howard and Helen (Jack's parents)

Ady Opening her present from Jack's Parents

Loving her doll!

Another Powerwheels for Hayden! They both love it

The kids quite enjoy it... especially that they can both ride comfortably in it now!

Thank you for loving us so much.... We are spoiled!

Thanksgiving

As some of you know, Ben has been interviewing with a Hospital in Baker City Oregon. He has another interview on this upcoming Wednesday. With much anticipation, we decided we would go visit the area, to get a feel for it, and decide if it was a place that we could live. It's only about a 2 hour drive from Boise, so it wasn't that bad getting there, but we did drive around a lot of the time, which made the kids crazy. I, being camera dumb... again, forgot we had the camera, and didn't start taking pictures until the ride home. You can see just how happy the kids are!

Nice Head Shot, HUH... JK... I don't post many pictures of myself, so I thought this might be a good time.... ha ha ha
On Thursday, of course, was Thanksgiving. We spent the majority of the day at my mom's house. I couldn't help but take some pictures of Ady in her outfit I made her. Hayden and Ady had fun spending time with their cousins!

You can't really see it, but I painted a Christmas Tree on her shirt, which matches the fabric on her sleeves, and her skirt.

Ady loves getting her hair done. She will actually sit for me on the bathroom counter and will let me do whatever I want. Her hair is still very fine, and it doesn't take to curling very well, but I did what I could... she sure liked it!
