Memorial Day Weekend!

This weekend went by entirely TOO fast. We had an eventful weekend.. i guess you could say, but it was much enjoyed! Saturday I went to a pampered chef party that a co worker of mine was throwin... spent too much money...
Sunday the fam went to the Sumpter flea market... spent way too much money.
Today was different. We stayed home in the morning and cleaned out. It needed it... Really bad! After good old nap time, we headed up the the lake/reservoir with some new family friends! 2 families, who each have 2 kids, a boy and a girl, under the age of 4! Yay! Boy did we have a great time. We made a campfire when we got there, and cooked some yummy hot dogs for everyone to enjoy!
Becca was pretty excite about the drinks available!
Everyone seemed to love the water!

Love!

When we got back from the "lake" we make smores, and might i add, ate way to much! But they were delish!

Super Savings!

I just returned from Albertsons, and am happy to report my most recent savings. My subtotal before coupons and the albertsons card was a little over $91. After coupons and everything my total was 24.50. That's a total of saving $67 using coupons!

Heres how the majority of it breaks down.

Cottenelle 12 pack of toilet paper
On sale with albertsons coupon for 4.88. Because I bought two, I was also able to use 2 manufactor coupons on for 75 cents and one for 50 cents.

Total for 2 12 packs of toilet paper = 8.41. Regular Price =13.98 Total SAVINGS = 5.57

Misc Kellogs Cereal
Albertsons is running a deal for every 4 your buy, you get them for 1.50 each

4 x 1.50 = $6 I had $1 off coupons for each cereal. Making each box .50 cents!
Total for 4 boxes of cereal = $2 Regular Price = $10 Total Savings = 8 bucks! Yahoo!

Airwick I-motion air freshner. Regular Price=$11.99 on Sale for 5.99. Had a coupon for $4 off
Total Price=1.99 Total Savings = $10!

Kraft Italian (fat free) dressing. On sale at albertsons 2 for $4. I had 2 $1.50 off coupons. Making them .50 cents each! Regular Price: $4 for 2 After coupons: $1 for 2!

Chinet Paper Plates! I had a 2$ off coupon, and they were on sale for 2 for $5. I bought one at $2.50 and so total price was .50 cents!

This is not everything I bought... but the best deals! Sorry if it's confusing!

Angel Food Cake

I had been craving angel food cake, so I set forth and made one from scratch for mothers day. I could have very well gone to the store to buy one, but I hate how dry and untasty they are from the store.

I think my first, very homemade, angel food cake, turned out great! I will be making this again, and again.

And again!

And I will never buy them from the store again!

It was that good!

Mother's Day!

Mother's day was great this year! I had the opportunity to spend the day with my favorite people. Prior to Sunday, Ben surprised me at work with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from a local flower shop here! I was pleasantly surprised, and the lady's at work, seemed to be giving me jealous glares... just kiddin~ But the truth is, I am spoiled... He does a good job!

We woke up Sunday morning and Ben made me my favorite Weight Watchers Recipe pancakes with strawberries and bacon, yum, yum.

Then I attended a local tea party. They had a good message about being a woman, and fulfilling your duty, as women, and loving yourself.

Ben and the kids then took me out to lunch at a local cafe. I was bad and ordered a delicious patty melt! I felt bad about no sticking to my weight watchers points, but it was well worth it.

When we got home, we all went on a bike ride. The kids fell asleep in the bike trailer! We love riding bikes together. Around came dinner, and once again Ben was the chef! He made my favorite meal, tacos!

Oh yeah, I made my mom, and myself a mothers day present this year. My mom request a purse for mothers day, of course, made by me. She told me she wanted bright and bold... So that's what i gave her.

I made a brown fake leather one for myself. I didn't have a pattern for these purses, so I made them up as i went. I hope to get better at these soon, as I LOVE purses, and making them
It was a wonderful day, with family! I couldn't have a more blessed family!

A Minute for Mommy

Dearest Terah

It was a lucky guess figuring out your password, and hopefully you will not be angry with me for messing with your incredible blog. A few posts back you mentioned how lucky you were to find blogging and how much you enjoyed your new hobby and passion. I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much your family, myself and the kids appreciate the passion and love you give to us! To many times you have said nice things about me on here and never once have I taken the opportunity to express my appreciation to you! I know we have had our share of challenges lately but please know we appreciate how hard you work and we are very proud of your creativity and the steps you are taking to better care for yourself. Please know that we will be here every step of the way even when the times get tough! Please keep your head up, your thoughts positive and remember the front windshield is much bigger then the rear view mirror:)

Happy Mother's Day and Love always from your Husband, Hayden, and Adyson!

This shot would probably not win any awards or even be a candidate for the mantel but I think it does a great job at showing how much fun it is to spend time together as a family! the funniest thing to note is you probably could have given me one good elbow sending me for a swim. Priceless!!

Enjoy.

We did it!

We completed our first 5k (3.1 miles)...

in the rain.

soaking wet.

But it was fun, and we both feel so great that we did it!

We buckled the kids into the bike trailer (converted stroller) and we were on our way.

It was our first, and definitely not our last. It was part of the Health fair that our work, St. Elizabeth's, put on.

We ran half way, we walked halfway... completed it in 40 minutes flat...

We have a lot of work to do, but i think this is a good start!
